Whether the music has found Ilka, or whether has Ilka discovered music just at the age of 14 is a mystery… What is evident today is the fact that, now known as ‘DJ ILKA’’s ability to create magic through the tunes he mixes and shuffles around at any event he is present at.

He chose to learn how to play the guitar as his first instrument and became really good at it in a short span of time. The rest is now history to be looked back at and admired.

In 1996 the group ‘Terrarossa’ was formed by Dj Ilka and three others, Ilka being the lead guitarist. The group had split up shortly after, which sparked Ilka to continue the path of music solo with his interest being sparked in DJ’ing. In 1997 Ilka performed his first mix tape, which became a hit. This was the very start of his Dj’ng career.

He became quite popular and started to host various clubs and hotels in some of the hottest holiday spots in Turkiye as the resident DJ. He also performed at one of the most well-known night clubs globally ‘HALIKARNAS’ In Bodrum -Europe for the next five years.

The next step in the ladder of his path was being involved in music production. Ilka has worked with various up coming young artists, leading them in the way. Following his phenomenal success via hard work over the years, Ilka has established his own record label ILKA RECORDS.

He currently plays at Ministry of Sound events being held in Turkiye, whilst working as the music coordinator for a large hotel chain. He continues to work with well established names both in Turkiye and Sydney, ‘The star’ being one of them.
